Three Of The World’s Most Objectified Women Make Powerful Point About Sexism

Kim Kardashian sent the internet and feminists into a frenzy this week with some new nude selfies, and celebrities everywhere are coming to her defence.
In particular, her sister Kylie, and famous model Emily Ratajkowski.
Ratakowski recently demanded the right to express her sexuality without being objectified or slut-shammed, and its become even more relevant after the Kim K nudes, The Independent reports.
The actress/model recently wrote a powerful essay for Lena Dunham’s website Lenny Letter, which highlighted her refusal to apologise for her sexuality, an essay she suggested men read – in particular Piers Morgan, after he dedicated an entire column to Kim’s selfie, saying it was time for her to cover up.

She wrote: “Even if being sexualised by society’s gaze is demeaning, there must be a space where women can still be sexual when they choose to be.” Amen to that.
And after Kim penned a pretty powerful essay to justify her nude selfies, Ratajkowski spoke out on Twitter and Instagram to defend her, calling the backlash ‘sexist bullshit’.
On International Women’s Day, Kim wrote:
I shouldn’t have to constantly be on the defence, listing off my accomplishments just to prove that I am more than something that happened 13 years ago. Let’s move on, already. I have.
It’s 2016. The body-shaming and slut-shaming – it’s like, enough is enough. I will not live my life dictated by the issues you have with my sexuality. You be you and let me be me. I am a mother. I am a wife, a sister, a daughter, an entrepreneur and I am allowed to be sexy.
Like Kim, Ratajkowski has been frequently disparaged for being overtly sexual, especially after appearing topless in the Blurred Lines video – which she calls ‘the bane of her life’.
And now, as an objectified woman in the entertainment industry, she’s joined forces with Kim – arguably the most objectified woman in the world – to put an end to slut-shaming. But she wasn’t alone, and shortly after, Kylie and even Sharon Osborne had taken to Instagram to show their support!
